The property’s storied past traces back to 1740, with ownership passing through well-known Annapolis families, eventually landing with U.S. Navy Admiral Asa Walker, who built the Colonial Revival structure in 1908. Today, Franklin House still showcases original elements like heart pine floors, a curved staircase, cedar window seats, high ceilings, and dual fireplaces.
Purchased in 2015 by hospitality expert Sean Finter, Franklin House has been restored to blend historical character with modern amenities. With views of Spa Creek, it provides a charming backdrop for any occasion. Thoughtfully designed, Franklin House allows guests to create memorable events with a seamless mix of timeless elegance and present-day sophistication. Situated within walking distance of Maryland’s state offices and historic churches, it’s an ideal setting for corporate retreats or intimate social gatherings.
