Montagu Meadows, set on a former 20-acre horse farm, features an original 1800s bank barn that retains its rustic charm with weathered wood beams and a neutral color palette. Overlooking golden fields in Carroll County, Maryland, this historic venue is just 30 minutes from Gettysburg, PA, and 50 minutes from Baltimore, MD.
The venue offers an array of thoughtfully designed spaces, including a bridal suite, groom’s quarters, an orchard, and an elevated terrace. The barn’s open floor plan, lofty ceilings, and expansive doors create an airy atmosphere with natural light, leading out to a large deck and 2,000+ square foot paver terrace. Facing stunning, tree-lined sunsets, Montagu Meadows provides a picturesque backdrop for any event.
Named after family member Montagu Hankin, a WWII veteran, Montagu Meadows honors his legacy through each celebration held here. Designed to host weddings and special gatherings with style and ease, the barn’s historic character blends seamlessly with modern amenities.
The barn includes two bar areas, an elevated level leading to an expansive deck, and romantic crystal chandeliers. Farmhouse tables and gold Chiavari chairs are provided, along with vintage furniture for added charm. The Ceremony Orchard, with its seven grand trees, and an alternate ceremony spot overlooking a pond and stream, offer beautiful settings for intimate vows.
The private suites provide couples with bright, spacious rooms to prepare for their special day. The bridal suite features vanities and crystal chandeliers, while the groom’s suite includes a pool table and foosball for added enjoyment.
